OPEN HOUSE: We invite you to assist at the dedicated demo-runs foreseen at the Macchi CAST FILM facility right outside of Milan (ITALY) on the 4th, 5th, 6th, 11th, and 12th of October 2011, where our Personnel, together with the partnering Specialists of No.El and DOW Chemicals, shall be present to illustrate the exclusive features of this new setup: in line production of coreless conventional and pre-stretch film on cast extrusion line. Stretch film manufacturers from all over the world, including North America, will attend this unique event. If you are interested in participating please contact our Head Quarters in Italy or the No.El North America Sales Office.
Macchi is preparing a new generation of cast film machines made with the exclusive and synergistic contributions of No.El in order to propose an in-line production of core-less reels (conventional anD pre-stretch) for manual and automatic application purposes.
The advantage of this kind of production, that until now has been left to off-line post-production, offers incredibly huge savings in the future.
These important cost-subjects were already identified and brought to public attention during the AMI’s organized conference held in Wien in April 2011.
Exclusive for the European territory, this new Macchi product is engineered around a five extruders system filming a coextruded five layered web with a thin skin technology target. A 1350mm diameter chill roll must quench the remarkable throughput of the system, totally driven by energy saving water-cooled motors in the co-extrusion section and gearless torque drives managing the downstream web path.
The all-new No.El winder equipping the Macchi line reflects the large experience of this House in the manufacture of high speed re-wheeling units.
The synergy for an in-line approach is based on solid evidences. The cardboard cores represent a full 3-5% of the product cost that the Macchi approach targets to completely eliminate.
